Let me regale you with the story of another Kickstarter that I've backed - CROSSNIQ+
This game hits a certain aesthetic for me, in the vein of Lumines (which I have spent countless hours on in multiple formats) with it's bright, bold colors and awesome techno-pop elevator music.
Plus they're looking into a Switch version, and I couldn't afford missing out on that.
You can play the demo here (play in your browser or download the demo)
As the story goes, I backed another game on Kickstarter, but this time I actually received the game!
Sundered is a metroidvania from Thunder Lotus - famous for their first release, Jotun - that wows with it's hand-drawn graphics.
Hand-drawn graphics means I'm going to back it unless:
- it looks like doo-doo (either visually, or gameplay is questionable)
- it's a visual novel (not my cup 'o tea)
Sundered looked like neither, and Jotun was a solid title, so away my money flew.......
and here we are playing it.
