I've loved the 10 months or so that I've spent with my Switch, but there are a handful of accessories that have made our time together a little bit easier, so I want to share those with you in case you want to enhance your Switch experience.
(I'm not clever enough to get paid for these advertisements, so just tell us thank you on Twitter or something)
Best investment I've made outside of the console or games. Makes playing on the TV way more immersive than the Joycons.
Basically a required acquisition. You need a place to install downloadable games, your game saves, and even cartridge based games install onto the system (which only has about 25GB left over from the OS, so you'll run out quick).
If you plan on going anywhere with your Switch (why wouldn't you?) then hopefully you have a case to keep it safe and secure. The Switch is a nicely designed piece of kit, but it's not a robust as the designed-for-mobility systems like the Vita or 3DS.
This is the model that I bought, but there may be better options out there now. It is really nice to be able to plug in to a TV on the go without having to carry the full sized dock or removing it from your home system. It's a tiny piece that fits into the carrying case I have listed below.
Depending on a second dock you buy, maybe it's not required, but it's nice to have another to charge around the house with.
Mostly for the Pro Controller, but you could use these with a battery pack as well if it can output enough juice for the system itself on the go.
For the minimal investment, I think these are worth the buy to keep your screen clear from scratches. While I haven't had the issue with the dock scratching the screen, this ensures I'll never have that problem.
