I've made it no secret that I've backed a lot of Kickstarter projects over the last few years (23 successful games and 4 failed, to be exact), and the teams are constantly updating us on their status (the good ones anyways) both pre and post-release. I figured that on the more interesting updates, I'll share with you what I'm seeing.
Today, I got an update from Hyper Light Drifter which is one of the most successful releases I've been a part of. While I didn't contribute towards the art book, I am a little bit jealous of those who are going to get one.
The quality is fantastic - thanks to Fangamer for working so well with us."
"We've been working hard with the Japanese publisher Playism to get this released in Japan/Asia (both in digital and physical form in the territory) since last year. It's been a long trek, but we're nearly there.
The brand new cover art was done by the incredible Yusuke Kozaki, who worked on some of the most recent Fire Emblem games on 3DS, among many other titles and mediums. We are so fortunate, honored and excited to have him contribute to the project."
So, Japan once again gets cool box art that we do not.
