2015 has gone, and from it's ashes rises a new year. This year, aka 2016, has promised us many a game - let us take some time to identify the most intriguing titles to come. Coming in no particular order, let's first take a look at..............
Mighty No. 9
Since Capcom decided to forgo the ways of old, Megaman has lived an uncomfortable existence - one where he makes a guest appearance in someone else's game, or where he is relegated to games on mobile devices that few know about and even less care for, or in "legacy" releases where he is forced to reenact the glory days of yore for younger viewers on newer hardware; ones who know nothing of the struggles of the past.
Knowing that his creation would never see his just desserts under the Capcom logo ever again, one Kenji Inafune has gone rogue (independent really) to create the spiritual successor to Megaman titled "Mighty No. 9." Like new vs. old Coke, this is a return to the origins where a robot must fight through armies of robots and absorb their unique powers for his own.
The reality is that Megaman needed a return to his roots and this opportunity provides him that exactly, except for the whole it not being Megaman. From the demo that was released, the visuals differ from it's older brother, but it's not a bad looker by any means. More importantly, the game feels right - like coming home again. I look forward to running the game through it's proper paces.
